You will fall under the trainee category for booking purposes in the online system and you must have your Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and Sponsorship Letter from either your Royal College or Trust hospital ready when booking.
  2. All FICM membership applications (Affiliate, Associate Member, Member (MFICM), Affiliate Fellowship) submitted with the intent of being approved for eligibility to sit the FFICM MCQ exam must be submitted by 12pm 18 November 2021. There is no guarantee that an application will be processed in time for you to apply for the exam.
  3. If you do not have a Stage 1 certificate please view the ‘Training Exceptions’ advice below.

The Faculty has decided that it will, on a case-by-case basis, listen to requests from trainees who wish to sit the MCQ component of the FFICM in the very late phase of their Stage 1 training.  This is on the proviso that the MCQ sitting in question falls in the last seven weeks of the trainee’s Stage 1 training and that the trainee’s Regional Advisor confirms that the trainee is on course to complete all of their required Stage 1 competencies.
